reaching 15.2% of households.

Total sales for the Asahi Shimbun's morning edition are 8,031,579 copies, and 3,357,950 for the evening edition. Calculating from official population figures, this means that The Asahi Shimbun reaches one in five households. And since The Asahi Shimbun is read by an average of 2.5 persons per household, it reaches about 20 million individuals.
